Castro’s Cafe

Soon to be opening Castro’s Cafe in waikiki wanted a way to spice up their old and dull countertops. The owner Luis was left in awe by the attention to detail and the depth captured in this 30 square foot space.

This counter started as rough cut stained wood that had to be flattened and cleaned. Two layers of transparent dark blue waves with rolling ocean foam were added covering approximately two thirds of the counter before adding a clear coat over the entire space to make a nice smooth and level surface with no pores for dirt and grime to stick in. Epoxy made the ideal countertop for this new restaurant for its ease of cleaning and added a vibrant look that amazes customers upon entering.
